November 29, 2014: Day 29 of 365 Daily Photos – Yule Goat & My Morning View

It snowed this morning and turned everything beautiful outside.  Our house is orientated on a north/south axis so the west side is my morning view in our home office is my first view to the world each day I wake up.  The view this morning was particularly striking due to freshly fallen snow as I looked out the window.  I was excited.

On the south east side of the house is the view to the garden and hummingbird feeders.  As we have decorated for Solstice we placed two Swedish Yule Goats (known in Swedish as Julbocken i Gävle or Gävlebocken) the southeast window ledge…

The light in the center is a sun light for the plants…we had new windows put in some years ago but didn’t realize at the time that, in addition to noise reduction, they also blocked UV rays, hence the light.
