December 25, 2014: Day 55 of 365 Daily Posts – Dale Chihuly Tacoma Bridge of Glass

This morning my son and I went to downtown Tacoma for a photo shoot.  The morning started off overcast and by the time we arrived at the Tacoma Glass Museum complex the sky cleared to a brilliant morning blue, the sun was out, and it was a nippy 31 degrees.  Perfect weather for a shoot.

Today’s Daily Photos are of the Dale Chihuly Tacoma Bridge of Glass.  The bridge spans the spans the freeway and provides a walking connection between the Tacoma Natural History museum, Union Station (where the Federal courthouse is, the University of Washington, Tacoma campus, and the rest of the downtown area.

The bridge has two display enclosures…the first you would see if you were crossing from the Natural History area is an overhead display and the second is a series of vertical enclosures containing Chihuly’s glass art – the subject of today’s Daily Photos.
