On our trip to Yachats, Oregon last October, one of our priorities was to visit the Oregon Coast Aquarium…we really wanted to visit the aquarium and we dedicated a whole day for the visit. It was a very worthwhile trip and, in many ways, it turned out to be the best part of our trip.
The Oregon Coast Aquarium is marvelous in it’s layout and integration with the environment; the well lit and fascinating exhibits; a gift store featuring many items made in the USA representing the values of the aquarium; but perhaps, most of all, was our time sitting on the “petting zoo” bench touching abalones.
It was a most wonderful trip and we have many happy memories of our brief time there. If you like aquariums of this nature, please considering stopping by if you’re in the area – it will be a very enjoyable part of your trip.
Though I’m sure we didn’t see every exhibit, I would like to share some of the photos of those we saw. (Note: All photos taken with the iPhone 6; also, with the exception of the abalones, the photos are in no particular order)
